RiVibe Festival Gort 2009
RíVibe is the name given to the youth aspect of the Rí-Rá festival which will take place in Gort on the same dates beginning Fri. 28th - Sun. 30th August 2009. The RíVibe Youth-fest is designed for teens from the south Galway area. RíVibe offers the last chance of the summer holidays to have the craic with loads of sporting, musical and varied activities; live music on the festival stage, life-size 'fussball' 5 a sides, penalty taking skills, Hip-Hop display and Kickboxing displays, interviews with famous sports personalities, African Drumming workshop, … and an overall seriously good buzz in an alcohol-drug free environment. The RíVibe Youthfest will take place in ‘Canon Quinn Park’ right in the centre of Gort. Remember that all events on Friday and Saturday are ABSOLUTELY FREE! The only ‘ticket only’ event of the festival is ‘The Blizzards’ concert on Sunday afternoon with tickets costing €20 each. The Sunday pre support music program will start on the RíVibe festival stage around 5 O’clock.

THE RíVIBE YOUTH-FEST 2009
 
THE RíVIBE HOUSE BAND AND RíVIBE VOCALS

We have collected the best of south Galway's musicians and singers to form the 'RíVibe House Band' and ‘RíVibe Vocals’ who will provide the pre-support for the main event; 'The Blizzards' on Sunday, 30th August in Canon Quinn Park. The result will be a stunning concert on the Sunday night, in what promises to be a unique, 'not to be missed' event for every young person in the south Galway area. So get the word around, tell your friends to pick up their tickets for ‘The Blizzards’ locally this week before they go on general release on Saturday 22nd.… that is if you want to part of the best Youth-fest around this summer. The idea is to give priority to teenagers in their own localities before the tickets go on general release on Saturday, 22nd of August. SECURITY AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

The RíVibe festival is an alcohol free and drug free event, and to this end, the park will be a designated alcohol-drug free zone during the hours of the festival each day. Young people deemed to be under the influence of alcohol / drugs will not be admitted into the festival area and entry into the festival area will depend on full co-operation with the security and volunteer staff on stewarding duty. Searches of pockets, bags, clothing etc will be administered and refusal to fully co-operate will result in refusal of admittance. For full terms and conditions see below.

PARENTS AND GUARDIANS

The ethos of this festival is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for teenagers to enjoy the last weekend of the summer holidays before heading back into the school year. We are delighted that many parents have volunteered for stewarding and others have agreed to accompany groups of teens to the festival, especially to ‘The Blizzards’ on Sunday afternoon on August 30th. To this end, we are happy to offer free entry to parents travelling to the Sunday concert with six or more teenagers. Unfortunately we have to charge entry to parents who are not registered volunteers or who are travelling with less than six in their group for ‘The Blizzards’ concert. Parents travelling with teens who may have special needs or safety issues are asked to visit the security office at the festival entrance before entering the line. CHILDREN under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all time. The festival organizers cannot accept responsibility for children left unsupervised in the festival precincts.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This ticket is issued on behalf of the organisation responsible for the performance or event shown on the face including the promoter and venue and is subject to the terms and conditions indicated on this ticket or displayed on the premises. Purchase and possession of this signifies agreement to the following conditions: It is a licensing condition that every person entering the event site must have a valid ticket. The event promoter reserves the right to refuse entry of the ticket holder to the event site. Customers found to be causing damage to the site, the site infrastructure, causing harm to any other person on site or in breach of these conditions will be subject to prosecution. The event promoter reserves the right to search all persons and personal property and refuse admission to, or eject from, the site any person who refuses to be searched by a security official. This ticket is not transferable. No money will be refunded or tickets exchanged after purchase. No duplicate tickets or wristbands will be issued in the event of loss. Admission to the site and performance is at the ticket holder’s own risk. Neither the festival organisers nor the site management shall be held liable for any injury or damage sustained within the site. Ticket holders give their express consent to the use of their actual or simulated likeness in connection with the production, exhibition, advertising or exploitation of any film, video and/or audio recording of this event and/or any element thereof in any/all media throughout the world. This includes filming by the police or security which may be carried out for the security of customers. The event promoter reserves the right to make any change whatsoever to the act programme owing to any unforeseen or unavoidable cause. Neither the venue nor the promoter can accept responsibility for lost or stolen property. This festival takes place outdoors. Customers are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and protection against potential inclement weather. Strobe lighting may be used during the festival. With the exception of dogs assisting the visually impaired, no animals are permitted onto the site. No alcohol or illegal substances may be brought in to the festival site. WARNING – Prolonged exposure to loud noise may cause damage to your hearing. No glass bottles to be brought in to the festival site. Any item that is deemed unsuitable may be refused at our discretion. This includes fireworks, smoke canisters, offensive weapons or other similar articles and any person in possession of such articles may be refused entry or ejected. Any person found to be behaving in a manner deemed unsociable or potentially dangerous will be ejected from the festival site without refund. No open fires. No crowd surfing, no moshing. The possession of this ticket shall constitute an acceptance by the holder of these conditions and imply an undertaking on the part of the holder to observe them. In the event of any breach of these conditions, the event promoter reserves the right to cancel this ticket and retain any monies paid therefore.
